Service Engineer

About the Role

As a Service Engineer at DMG MORI TC, you will serve as the primary technical liaison for our customers, ensuring the optimal performance of our CNC machine tools. This role is critical to maintaining the reliability of our equipment in demanding manufacturing environments. You will provide on-site and remote maintenance, repair, and installation assistance, acting as a trusted advisor who builds exemplary relationships with clients at all organizational levels.

The position requires a balance of technical expertise and customer service excellence. You will not only troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues but also create and update technical documentation and generate special reports to drive service improvements. A key part of your day involves collaborating with Customer's Service Engineers to train them on newer product lines and managing difficult situations with a positive, solution-oriented approach.

Work Environment & Travel

This role is based at the DMG MORI Technical Center but involves significant travel (up to 50%) within a multi-state region. You will spend time in general office environments as well as active manufacturing and machining floors. Be prepared for exposure to industrial hazards, including noise, electricity, chemicals, and heavy equipment. The physical demands include frequent travel, operating vehicles, and working in various postures such as standing, bending, and squatting, alongside the ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
