This role serves as a vital operational hub within the service center, focusing on the seamless movement of freight and the delivery of exceptional customer service. The position is responsible for managing the administrative and clerical needs that keep daily operations running smoothly, ensuring that documentation, customer inquiries, and logistics coordination are handled with precision.
You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them through the complexities of freight shipping. Your day will involve verifying and completing essential documentation, processing shipments, and resolving issues ranging from billing discrepancies to delivery scheduling. You will also support city operations by coordinating driver activities, reviewing Hours-of-Service logs, and managing cash reconciliation.
The environment is fast-paced and deadline-oriented, requiring the ability to work independently or as part of a team in an office/dock setting. Success in this role depends on strong organizational skills, the ability to handle confidential information, and a commitment to complying with all applicable laws and company policies.
