About the Role

The SEO/GEO Executive Lead serves as the senior practitioner on the team, equally at home conducting technical audits, leading client strategy sessions, and reviewing roadmaps with engineering. In this role, you will lead a team of SEO specialists, own the relationship with senior client stakeholders, and personally drive the quality and direction of the work. The ideal candidate has executed at scale, understands what excellence looks like, and can bring others along without losing sight of execution.

You will own the end-to-end SEO strategy across large, complex web environments, from technical foundations through content and measurement. While you will lead the team, you will also step into execution mode when necessary—resolving crawlability issues, structuring migration plans, or troubleshooting indexation at the page level. Your goal is to hold yourself and your team to deadlines while creating the conditions for others to succeed.

This role requires translating business priorities, platform changes, and emerging channel dynamics into clear, sequenced SEO roadmaps. You will provide practical, prioritized guidance to content, development, UX, and analytics stakeholders, communicating confidently with senior clients by framing SEO decisions in terms of business impact and risk. Additionally, you will design workflows that reduce manual work using enterprise SEO platforms and custom scripting, developing templated approaches that raise the floor of the team's output.

Hiring Process

Candidates for this role will be evaluated on their ability to lead complex workstreams, partner directly with engineering teams, and manage and develop a team of SEO specialists. The selection process focuses on identifying individuals who can balance multiple client needs in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating expertise in technical SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization).
