DCS is seeking a performance-driven Senior Technical Writer to support critical US Army programs. This role is designed for individuals who are excited to take on meaningful challenges and contribute to innovative solutions in a fast-evolving mission space. The position focuses on developing content for analytical, financial, logistics, engineering, and advanced network systems related to military vehicles and equipment.
You will work across multiple locations, collaborating with customer representatives, vendors, and subject matter experts to establish technical specifications and determine the scope of publications. Your day-to-day involves organizing complex material to ensure order, clarity, conciseness, and adherence to specific style and terminology standards. You will edit and standardize content prepared by others, review published materials for necessary revisions, and select or create visual aids such as photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate technology, operating procedures, and production sequences.
Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for this position. Candidates must also possess the ability to obtain a Secret clearance as needed. The role requires a Master's degree (MA/MS/MBA) in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, or Creative Writing from an accredited institution, combined with 10 years of experience as a technical writer within the Department of Defense (DOD) environment. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience, or 15 years of experience without a degree, may be considered.
