Serving the continental United States, Canada, and Mexico, NRSS delivers proven safety records and the ability to handle any project across Class 1 Railroads, Regional Short Lines, Transit Systems, State DOTs, and various suppliers and contractors.
The District Manager - Training & Safety serves as a pivotal leader in supporting field services for a diverse range of railroad clients. This role exists to bridge the gap between technical safety standards and practical field application, ensuring that training programs are not only delivered but effectively integrated into daily operations.
In this position, you will manage the entire project life cycle, from initiating and planning to executing, controlling, and closing projects. Your day-to-day involves leading and coordinating teams, developing high-quality training materials, and fostering service excellence through auditing and documentation. You will act as both an instructor and a manager, delivering technical classroom and on-the-job training while maintaining positive business relationships with current clients. The role requires a balance of office-based strategic planning and field-based execution, often involving travel to diverse locations to ensure safety compliance and operational success.
Safety is our way of life at NRSS. We operate on the principle that no job is so important and no service is so urgent that we may not take time to perform all work safely. By placing safety first, we ensure the wellbeing of our employees, customers, and communities while upholding our commitment to being the leader in safety throughout the Railroad Industry.
