This position serves as a critical pillar in the manufacturing of high-quality silicon wafers, bridging the gap between sustaining existing processes and driving the development of new ones. The role is designed to ensure process stability while simultaneously advancing the company's Technology Strategy to meet future customer needs.
The day-to-day work is split between two major components. The sustaining aspect focuses on continuous improvement, tackling yield and capability enhancements, managing process transfers, and performing root cause analysis to resolve both internal and customer-facing quality issues. The development aspect involves implementing new processes within strict timeframes, ensuring that the manufacturing line remains capable of supporting upcoming product requirements.
As a key decision-maker, you will navigate the consequences of project implementations, balancing short-term operational needs with long-term strategic goals. You will be responsible for identifying and containing field problems, prioritizing daily project lists based on team needs, and determining the optimal testing methodologies and data analysis approaches for Process Transfer Notices (PTNs). Your decisions will directly impact equipment selection, process monitoring, and the disposition of discrepant materials, ensuring that every action aligns with quality standards and efficiency targets.
You will operate as a specialist within a dynamic engineering environment, serving as the primary point of contact for sales personnel and facilitating information exchange across all departments. The role requires a professional technical interface with counterparts both within the business unit and externally, including suppliers and customers. You will often lead project teams, prepare specifications for vendors and contractors, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance yields, productivity, and on-time delivery.
Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of two years of related work experience are encouraged to apply. We seek individuals with advanced knowledge of silicon technology, proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), and strong technical writing and communication skills. Please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your experience with process engineering and root cause analysis.
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
