The Senior Superintendent I serves as a pivotal leader on-site, responsible for the coordination of project activities and the supervision of work teams across multiple or large, complex construction projects. This role exists to bridge the gap between project planning and execution, ensuring that site operations run efficiently, safely, and within budget.
In this position, you will interact with staff at all levels, navigating an ever-changing environment with flexibility and resourcefulness. Your day involves anticipating critical issues and opportunities, creatively problem-solving, and bringing viable solutions to the table. You will work closely with Project Managers to manage labor, equipment, and materials while overseeing the implementation of Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety Program. Beyond technical oversight, a key part of your mission is to coach, mentor, and train field personnel, fostering a strong teamwork environment and developing the leadership potential of your crew.
