The Senior Superintendent I serves as a pivotal leader on-site, responsible for the coordination of project site work activities and the supervision of on-site work teams across multiple or large, complex construction projects. This role demands a professional who can interact effectively with staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment.
You will be the bridge between project management and field execution, anticipating problems and opportunities as they arise to bring creative solutions to the table. The day-to-day involves managing construction activities, overseeing work crews, and ensuring that all required materials, equipment, and inspections align with the project schedule. You will coach and mentor field personnel, from foremen to assistant superintendents, fostering a teamwork environment where crews have the resources and support they need to succeed.
A key part of your mission is implementing Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety Program at the project site while managing relationships with customers, architects, union representatives, and subcontractors. Whether you are reviewing construction documents for constructability, developing site utilization plans, or managing open shop and union issues, your goal is to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive site.
