As a top builder, developer, and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), Mortenson's expertise spans diverse markets including sports, renewable energy, data centers, and healthcare. We are builders at heart, working to ensure the built environment has a lasting positive impact. Our mission is to redefine what is possible through our work.
The Senior Superintendent I serves as a pivotal leader in an ever-changing construction environment, responsible for the coordination of project site work activities and the supervision of on-site work teams across multiple or large, complex construction projects. This role requires a professional who is flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient, with the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
In this position, you will anticipate problems, critical issues, and opportunities as they arise, bringing creative solutions to the table. You will interface with various departments to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections align with the project schedule, while collaborating closely with Project Managers to manage budgets, forecasts, and resources. The role involves reviewing construction documents for constructability, developing site utilization plans, and conducting effective pre-construction planning sessions. Beyond technical oversight, you will coach, mentor, and train field personnel, fostering a teamwork environment and implementing Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety Program at the project site.
Please note that our job postings are typically open for a minimum of 5 days and an average of 44 days. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time; candidates must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Additionally, Mortenson reserves the right to hire any individual without legal or financial obligation on unwanted solicitations; no agency emails, calls, or solicitations are accepted without a valid agreement.
Your uniqueness brings new and creative perspectives to the team. Mortenson is committed to providing equal opportunities of employment (EOE) to all individuals, regardless of race, religion, gender, national origin, age, veteran status, disability, marital status, or any other legally protected category.
