We are currently seeking a Senior Software Tester/QA Analyst to support our rapidly growing Data Analytics and Business Intelligence platform. This team supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and is driving a portfolio of high-visibility application modernization efforts focused on redesigning and enhancing enterprise procurement and acquisition systems using modern web technologies.
About the Role
This role is critical to improving software quality, reducing production defects, and strengthening client confidence through thorough, repeatable, and well-documented testing processes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, senior-level tester who can immediately integrate into Agile delivery teams and establish strong QA practices across the software development lifecycle.
You will lead testing strategy efforts and collaborate closely with functional staff (BAs/PMs) and developers to drive testing execution across functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, usability, and accessibility testing activities. You will operate in a fast-paced federal consulting environment with significant stakeholder visibility and evolving modernization priorities. Your work will directly contribute to a culture of quality across the program, ensuring that complex modernization projects meet the rigorous standards required by federal agencies.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleLead and execute comprehensive testing activities across multiple DHS modernization projects
- check_circlePerform non-functional requirements testing including usability, performance, and scalability
- check_circleEstablish and document test procedures and create project test documents
- check_circleSupport User Acceptance Test (UAT) and participate in Agile ceremonies
- check_circleUtilize Jira and Confluence to manage testing activities and track defects
- check_circleSupport release validation and production verification activities
- check_circleCoordinate defect management including documentation, prioritization, and validation of fixes
- check_circleIdentify testing gaps and risks early to recommend mitigation strategies
- check_circlePromote QA best practices and contribute to establishing a culture of quality
Requirements

- verifiedBachelor's Degree
- verified3+ years of experience as a tester
- verifiedExperience with test automation
- verifiedExperience working in an Agile project environment
- verifiedExperience with continuous integration tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- verifiedExperience supporting regression, integration, end-to-end, and UAT testing
- verifiedExperience supporting testing activities throughout the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- verifiedExperience testing modern web applications built using Angular and/or React
Nice to Have
Prior professional services or federal consulting experience; experience supporting DHS preferred. Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira/Confluence). Experience with Section 508 accessibility testing. Experience with Python or scripting languages used for test automation. Experience testing APIs and integration using tools such as Postman. Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools. Familiarity with cloud-based application environments. Certified Section 508 Trusted Tester. Familiarity with procurement/contractual/acquisition systems (e.g., FPDS, PRISM).
