We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Senior Research Operations Manager to play a key role in the operational success of our research team. This hands-on position combines team management, strategy, and operations, reporting directly to the Research Director. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, deep experience with research operations, and a passion for applied educational research.
In this role, you will partner with the Research Director to develop and refine the team's vision, long-term planning, and research priorities. You will manage the Research Systems Manager, oversee the creation and maintenance of project management systems, and handle all vendor relationships. A significant part of your day will involve facilitating team meetings and retreats, monitoring the progress of research projects against goals, and managing hand-off points with other internal departments. You will also mentor PhD-level researchers across diverse fields such as psychology, economics, and machine learning, ensuring they are prepared to execute research with complex operational needs. Additionally, you will collaborate with our Program pillar to ensure appropriate risk and safety considerations are met for projects involving youth.
