Our dynamic 56-bed Medical/Surgical unit, opening in October 2026, is designed to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The facility features 20 double-occupancy rooms and 16 private rooms, supporting a diverse patient population with varying acuity levels.
With dedicated and engaged leadership, the unit fosters a strong culture of support, accountability, and professional growth. We prioritize teamwork and collaboration, recognizing that exceptional patient outcomes are achieved through effective communication and mutual respect among staff. This is an ideal environment for adaptable and motivated nurses who thrive in a setting where patient needs and priorities shift frequently. Staff members are empowered to think critically, support one another, and contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture.
As a Registered Nurse on our Full-Time Night shift (7P-7A), you will serve as a licensed professional coordinating patient care delivery using the Parkland nursing professional practice model. Your role involves utilizing the nursing process to assess patients, identify nursing diagnoses, and develop individualized plans of care that ensure patients transition through their healthcare encounter without preventable complications or delays.
You will exercise independent judgment to provide patient-centered care, delegate interventions based on the Texas Nursing Practice Act and patient conditions, and serve as a vital resource for patients, families, and the healthcare team. The role includes advocating for patient rights, confidentiality, and cultural preferences, as well as providing educational training to families. You will also have opportunities to serve as a preceptor for newer staff, act as a Charge Nurse on rotation, and participate in community outreach activities.
