About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager in Electronic Security Systems (ESS), you will serve as the primary architect for the successful delivery of large-scale, complex physical security projects. This role is designed for a leader who thrives on harnessing subject matter expertise to drive decision-making and align cross-functional teams. You will act as the central hub for project execution, managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality from initiation through closure.
Your day-to-day involves more than just oversight; you will be the trusted interface for clients, developing strong long-term relationships by managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction. You will partner closely with site supervisors, general contractors, and end-users to navigate construction sequencing, mitigate risks, and ensure systems are fully operational before handover. This position requires a blend of technical depth in security technologies (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection) and the strategic acumen to manage financial health and profitability.
Location & Work Model
This position is primarily virtual on a day-to-day basis but requires significant on-site presence within the US-Cedar Rapids, IA region. You will be expected to reside in or be willing to relocate to Cedar Rapids, with relocation assistance available. The role involves frequent travel to project sites, typically comprising 70-90% of your time within a 2-hour driving distance of your base, with occasional airplane trips for broader regional needs. You must possess a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
