This is a strategic leadership position for a Branch Physical Security Architect, designed to provide the end-to-end architectural direction for physical security technologies across a banking retail branch network. This is not a hands-on keyboard design or deployment role; rather, it is a senior leadership engagement where you will serve as the principal technical authority.
You will define standards, lead multi-workstream programs, and act as the primary point of contact for the client's executive leadership. The role requires immediate availability to start within 7 days of an offer. This is a full-time remote contract (40 hours/week, EST hours required) for a duration of 6+ months, with the possibility of extension to 1–2 years.
As the single authoritative voice on branch physical security architecture, you will guide engineering teams, integrators, and vendors toward consistent, compliant, and resilient security outcomes. Your focus will be on strategic oversight across new branch builds, renovations, technology refreshes, and large-scale security programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise security architecture and regulatory requirements.
You will work cross-functionally with the client's PMO, IT Network Engineering, Facilities, Risk & Compliance, and external partners. Your day-to-day involves connecting branch-level decisions to the enterprise-wide security posture, communicating complex technical concepts to C-Suite stakeholders, and guiding teams through critical incidents with calm and decisive leadership.
Candidates must have branch or multi-site experience in Banking or Retail (250+ sites minimum). A PSP (Physical Security Professional) or similar certification is preferred. Due to the immediate business need, candidates must be available to begin within 7 days of an offer.
