About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Piping Designer & Modeler to join our Downtown Houston office. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining detailed 3D piping models for process, utility, and mechanical systems. You will serve as a critical link between design intent and physical reality, routing piping in strict accordance with P&IDs, equipment layouts, and rigorous design standards.
Your day-to-day involves creating and updating isometrics, orthographic drawings, and pipe support drawings directly from the 3D model. You will ensure proper clash detection, resolving interferences with structural, electrical, and mechanical disciplines to maintain model integrity. Success in this position requires interpreting project specifications and piping material classes while coordinating closely with piping engineers, stress analysts, and equipment engineers.
As a senior member of the team, you will also incorporate vendor data and field changes into the 3D environment and collaborate with modelers and designers across other firms or locations to ensure seamless integration.
