This leadership position is based at the Copper World Project, located approximately 45 minutes southwest of Tucson near Sahuarita, Arizona. Reporting directly to the Mine General Foreman, you will oversee day-to-day mine site activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production.
In this role, you will lead by example in enforcing safety policies and MSHA standards while managing incident investigations. Your day will involve collaborating with the drill and blast superintendent to coordinate drilling and blasting, while supervising loading and haulage activities to meet forecasted tonnage and ore grade targets. You will communicate work plans to crew supervisors, ensuring teams are prepared for implementation, and manage performance evaluations for supervisors, operators, and laborers.
A key part of your day-to-day involves collaborating with mine maintenance, technical services, and processing teams to optimize equipment availability and operational flow. You will identify bottlenecks to reduce downtime and provide daily progress reports to the General Mine Foreman. This role requires a positive work ethic and the ability to lead, motivate, and grow a team in a fast-paced environment.
