We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with specific marine and shipyard experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is a unique chance to lead high-value commercial and military ship repair contracts while working in a dynamic maritime environment.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Programs and serves as the primary focal point for customer interaction and the overall management of ship repair contracts valued between $1M and $100M. The role is critical for bridging the gap between executive leadership, production teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution of complex projects.
You will act as a key communicator and leader, establishing strong working relationships with owners, managers, engineers, subcontractors, and production teams. A significant part of your day involves interpreting complex technical documents, including NAVSEA Standard Items, blueprints, and test procedures, while applying project management principles to manage risk, performance, and changes. You will lead daily and weekly meetings across all stakeholder levels to resolve operational issues and ensure alignment on project status.
