We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with specialized marine and shipyard experience for a direct hire role with a client in Honolulu, Hawaii. This position offers a unique chance to lead high-value commercial and military ship repair contracts, ranging from $1 million to $100 million. The role reports directly to the Vice President of Programs and serves as the primary focal point for customer interaction and overall contract management.
As the leader of complex ship repair projects, you will bridge the gap between technical engineering teams and executive stakeholders. Your day-to-day involves interpreting complex technical documents, including NAVSEA standard items, blueprints, and test procedures, while applying project management principles to drive risk management and performance tracking. You will coordinate resources, manage work sequencing, and lead daily meetings to ensure timely execution and completion of vessel repairs.
This position requires a deep understanding of marine engineering and shipboard systems. You will interface daily with vessel stakeholders to resolve operational issues, negotiate contract modifications, and ensure strict compliance with federal and government contract requirements. Success in this role demands the ability to navigate security protocols, including obtaining a TWIC and DBIDS credential, and maintaining a valid Hawaii driver's license or U.S. passport.
