About the Role

This Senior Manufacturing Engineer position is based in Andover, MA, and serves as a critical bridge between engineering design and production reality. The role focuses on developing comprehensive manufacturing processes for 3D metal parts used in radar, integrated sensor, and effector programs. You will operate within a dynamic team environment, collaborating closely with Operations and other engineering disciplines to ensure high-quality output, cost efficiency, and schedule adherence.

The day-to-day involves translating complex engineering requirements into formal manufacturing documentation, including CMM programming, inspection planning, and assembly instructions. You will be responsible for creating, testing, and upgrading Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs, as well as developing fixturing and setups for inspection. A key part of the mission is to assess process failures, disposition non-conforming hardware, and execute robust Root Cause/Corrective Action plans to permanently solve problems. This role requires a balance of self-managing workload for existing production while driving non-recurring engineering work for new product introductions with accelerated time-to-market goals.

Working Environment

This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant time in and around factory areas. Success in this role demands the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues alongside Quality and Operations personnel, applying CORE and 6-sigma methods to maintain process capability.

Hiring Process

Candidates for this 12-month contract role should be prepared to demonstrate their technical depth in manufacturing processes and their ability to work in a controlled, high-stakes environment. The selection process evaluates both technical aptitude and professional maturity.
