UL Solutions is a global leader in applied safety science, transforming safety, security, and sustainability challenges into opportunities for customers in more than 110 countries. As part of our mission to advance safety and help customers innovate and grow responsibly, our finance organization serves as a strategic partner to business leadership. We are building a centralized, data-driven culture that ensures financial information is consistent, trusted, and actionable at scale.
Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Senior Manager Enterprise Performance Reporting acts as a critical bridge between accounting, FP&A, operational finance, and business leadership. This role exists to enable enterprise-wide financial insight by standardizing metrics, enhancing data dimensionality, and establishing centralized reporting capabilities across our laboratories and business units.
In this position, you will focus on improving comparability, transparency, and decision support by aligning finance data structures and governance. You will not own routine accounting operations but will instead leverage ERP and EPM platforms to drive analytics and insight delivery. Your work will directly support management, executive leadership, and external reporting needs by defining common data definitions and establishing cross-lab comparability frameworks.
As a leader, you will manage a high-performing team focused on enterprise thinking and accountability. You will drive the adoption of standardized reporting through strong communication and training, ensuring that our metrics remain aligned with GAAP/IFRS and internal controls. This is a full-time, hybrid role (3 days in the office) located in either Northbrook, IL, or Chicago, IL.
Candidates selected for this role will engage in a structured interview process designed to assess technical expertise, strategic thinking, and cultural fit. The process typically includes an initial screening with HR, followed by a deep-dive discussion with the hiring manager regarding enterprise reporting strategy and data modeling. Subsequent rounds will involve presentations or case studies focused on governance and change management, as well as meetings with cross-functional partners to evaluate collaboration skills.
