About the Role
As a Senior Financial Analyst supporting the US Pet Health Vet Channel, you will be more than a "number cruncher"; you will be a strategic co-pilot for Elanco's business leaders. This role is designed for a curious, forward-thinking finance professional who wants to move beyond standard reporting to drive business value.
You will partner across functions, including Sales and Marketing, to provide the financial "story" behind the data. Your mission is to challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to optimize our investments, acting as a financial consultant who helps cross-functional leaders understand the financial implications of their operational decisions. By proactively educating non-finance partners on budget management, ROI, and financial impact, you will foster a culture of shared financial responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAct as primary finance consultant for cross-functional leaders to explain financial implications of operational decisions
- check_circleParticipate in leadership meetings to provide real-time financial perspectives on strategic initiatives and resource allocation
- check_circleSupport forecasting, planning, and reporting activities for the US Vet Commercial Finance organization
- check_circleOversee monthly closing process ensuring accuracy in OPEX management, accruals, and Gross-to-Net accounting
- check_circleDesign and maintain high-impact reports and dashboards using PowerBI or Tableau to translate data into executive summaries
- check_circleDrive financial acumen by educating non-finance partners on budget management, ROI, and financial impact
- check_circleBuild robust financial models to evaluate new business cases and support commercial decision-making
- check_circleConduct predictive analysis to identify risks and opportunities in the pipeline before impacting the bottom line
- check_circleIdentify opportunities to automate manual reporting and simplify complex processes using modern technology stacks
- check_circleAnalyze variances and trends to identify root causes of performance shifts and recommend actionable next steps
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- verifiedMinimum 2 years experience in financial planning, forecasting, reporting, or processes at a publicly traded company
- verifiedAdvanced Excel skills
- verifiedExperience with large-scale ERP/EPM systems (SAP, OneStream, BPC)
- verifiedAbility to communicate with commercial business partners and cross-functional stakeholders
Nice to Have
Analytical curiosity with a track record of identifying business problems through data and driving solutions. Experience building automated dashboards in PowerBI or Tableau. Experience in Animal Health, Pharmaceuticals, or a high-growth manufacturing environment.
