This senior-level IT Business Analyst role is embedded within the Finance team at our Omaha, Nebraska office. The position exists to support insurance financial reporting, the monthly close process, and control-driven initiatives. You will serve as the critical bridge between Finance stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex accounting and financial reporting requirements into system, data, and process changes.
In this role, you will work directly with Controllers, Financial Reporting, Accounting Policy, and Audit teams to ensure solutions meet high standards of financial accuracy, completeness, and auditability. You will be responsible for eliciting and validating requirements for financial close and reconciliation processes, statutory and GAAP reporting, and intercompany workflows. Your work will involve translating these needs into user stories, functional specifications, and test scenarios that support UAT and control validation.

5+ years as a Business Analyst supporting Finance or Accounting teams. Direct experience working at an insurance carrier (P&C, Life, Health, or Specialty). Demonstrated support of insurance financial reporting, such as Statutory (STAT) or GAAP reporting, Financial close and reconciliations, and Intercompany or reinsurance accounting processes. Experience translating accounting-driven requirements into IT deliverables. Proven ability to work with Controllers, Financial Reporting and Accounting Policy, or Audit teams.
