Amalgamated Bank is seeking an Internal Auditor to perform comprehensive audit assignments with minimal oversight. This role is critical for assessing risks and internal controls, ensuring the accuracy of our financial operations, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. You will serve as a key liaison for data analytics initiatives and play a vital part in preparing materials for the Audit Committee and responding to regulatory requests.
In this position, you will apply your knowledge of bank operations to develop risk assessments that drive the audit planning process. Your day-to-day involves obtaining a deep understanding of our processes, identifying risks, and evaluating the internal controls that mitigate them. You will be responsible for developing risk and controls matrices, performing compliance and substantive testing, and drafting audit reports. Beyond technical execution, you will advise the team on leveraging data analytics to enhance audit efficiency and maintain strong relationships across the department and the broader bank.
