About the Role
This opportunity entails being responsible for daily inspection efforts on multiple complex, large, and/or diverse projects. You will serve as a critical link between project plans and on-site execution, ensuring that construction activities align with schedules, contract documents, and specifications. The role involves verifying work in progress, resolving quantity disputes, and advising contractor superintendents on necessary actions to ensure conformance. Beyond technical verification, you will prepare daily and weekly reports, review periodical pay estimates for accuracy, and produce as-constructed sketches to support Field Engineers in making project changes.
In this position, you may also participate in the mentoring, development, and evaluation of staff inspectors, helping to cultivate the next generation of field talent. The role requires proactive problem-solving to recognize complex construction or engineering issues and bring them to resolution with the contractor. You will work in a variety of environments, including heights, confined spaces, and marine settings, often requiring flexibility to support workload demands and inclement weather conditions.
