At HNTB, you can create a career that is meaningful to you while building communities that matter to all of us. For more than a century, we have been delivering solutions for some of the largest, most complex infrastructure projects across the country. With our historic growth, it is an exciting time to join our team of employee-owners.
This opportunity entails being responsible for daily inspection efforts on multiple complex, large, and/or diverse projects. You will serve as a critical link between project plans and on-site execution, ensuring that construction activities align with schedules, contract documents, and specifications. The role involves a dynamic day-to-day rhythm of inspecting, observing, and documenting work in progress, while also advising contractor superintendents on necessary actions to ensure conformance.
Beyond technical verification, you will prepare daily and weekly reports on work accomplished, review periodical pay estimates for accuracy, and produce as-constructed sketches. You may also participate in the mentoring, development, and evaluation of staff inspectors, helping to cultivate the next generation of field talent. This position requires adaptability, as you will be willing to work shift schedules or flexible hours to support workload demands, including conditions such as inclement weather, heights, confined spaces, and marine environments.
