About the Team

The Strategy team at Orenda leads the scouting, analysis, and validation of new investment opportunities. We work cross-functionally with other business units to translate research findings into implementation plans that move opportunities from concept to scale. Additionally, the team monitors policy developments in our operating markets, forecasts their impact, and advocates for favorable changes.

About the Role

The Senior Energy Market Research Analyst serves as the engine of Orenda's market opportunity pipeline. You will research energy markets for new investment opportunities, monitor markets on our watch list as they evolve, and build the foundation for every new investment strategy Orenda develops. This role exists because picking the right market is the most critical decision in developing a new investment strategy; your work directly shapes which markets become Orenda's next entries in 2026 and beyond. You will report and partner closely with the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).

This role is ideal for a curious, technically deep market researcher who wants to own a function end-to-end and influence where a fast-moving energy company places its bets next. As a foundational hire on a small, high-ownership Strategy team, you will have a direct line to the CSO and visibility to the executive team.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, in-office position requiring work from our headquarters in Brooklyn, NY, five days a week, with regular travel to project sites within the NYC area.
