We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to support the development of advanced software systems for a military aircraft platform. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to mission-critical avionics and embedded capabilities that enable the performance, safety, and effectiveness of next-generation military aviation systems.
You will apply advanced technical principles to develop, integrate, and test software products as part of a high-performing, multi-site team. The position requires a self-motivated engineer who can balance independent project work with collaborative efforts alongside software engineers, program development teams, and deployment groups. Success in this role involves navigating a rigorous environment where compliance and reliability are paramount.
Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Proficiency with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket), version control and issue tracking (Gitlab, Atlassian suite), FPGA software experience (Xilinx FPGAs, Vivado, Xilinx/AMD and MicroSemi/Microchip part families), test automation and verification frameworks, Python development for tooling, automation, and simulation support, familiarity with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools (e.g., Cameo), digital simulation (SIL/MIL/HIL) and closed-loop testing, hardware/software integration and troubleshooting, experience with safety-critical software development practices (DO-178C), experience with Navigation, Guidance and Control Implementation, experience with Signal Processing Implementation, ability to communicate and document complex technical designs, ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment, and excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
