Central Coast Community Energy (3CE) is a locally controlled Community Choice Aggregation agency established by communities to source clean and renewable electricity at responsible rates. Serving more than 1.2 million residential, commercial, and agricultural customers across Monterey, San Benito, Santa Cruz, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara counties, 3CE is governed by board members who represent the communities it serves.
Our mission is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through local control of utility-scale renewable generation, investment in new renewable power projects, and the implementation of innovative energy programs. We promote long-term electric rate stability and energy security while reducing reliance on fossil fuels and stimulating the local economy.
The Senior Customer Accounts Manager is a strategic partner dedicated to building and nurturing lasting relationships with 3CE's key customer accounts and municipal partners. Working under the direction of the Manager of Customer Accounts and Services, this role ensures customer satisfaction and retention by deeply understanding client needs related to billing, expansion, corporate sustainability, and 3CE's energy programs.
In this position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, including large commercial, industrial, and municipal customers. You will navigate the service area's diverse industries—typically agriculture, mining, wastewater treatment, and healthcare—while managing relationships with City and County agencies that form the 3CE Joint Powers Authority. The role requires a self-directed professional who can represent 3CE with grace, navigating difficult conversations and developing trusted relationships with governmental, business, and community leaders.
