Wintrust is a $66 billion financial institution based in Rosemont, Illinois, listed on the NASDAQ Global Select Market under the symbol "WTFC." We provide community and commercial banking, specialty finance, and wealth management services through 16 bank charters and nine non-bank businesses. Our mission is to deliver the sophisticated solutions of a large bank while staying true to the relationship-focused, personalized service of our community banking roots. We serve clients in all 50 states with more than 200 branch banking locations across Illinois, southwestern Florida, northwestern Indiana, west Michigan, and southern Wisconsin, alongside commercial banking offices in Chicago, Denver, Milwaukee, and Grand Rapids.
Our people are the heart of our business, and we are proud to rank consistently as a top place to work. We have been rated a Top Workplace by the Chicago Tribune for the past 11 years and have received the Employee Recommended award by the Globe & Mail for the past 6 years. We foster a "promote from within" culture that values individual growth within a team-oriented atmosphere.
The Senior Commercial Real Estate Banker (VP/SVP) is a pivotal role responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial real estate clients within the Wintrust footprint. This position exists to build and strengthen customer relationships by providing exceptional service and identifying ways to fulfill client needs through our comprehensive suite of products and services.
In this role, you will drive new business development through strategic referral sources and proactive outreach. You will serve as a leader in the development of less experienced commercial real estate lenders and portfolio managers, guiding them through the complexities of the market. The day-to-day involves preparing and presenting credit memos to senior management, overseeing the review and underwriting of credit requests, and presenting deal terms to clients in a timely and accurate manner. You will leverage your network of CRE COIs, investors, and attorneys to establish a robust referral base while maintaining deep relationships with existing clients to drive revenue growth, fee income, and deposits.
Wintrust values a collaborative and efficient hiring experience. While specific steps may vary, candidates can expect a process designed to assess both technical expertise and cultural fit. This typically includes an initial conversation to discuss your background and the role, followed by deeper discussions with the hiring team to explore your experience with commercial real estate transactions and credit principles. We are committed to finding the right fit for our growing organization.
From our first day in business, Wintrust has been proud to serve a variety of unique communities and people from all walks of life. To build a company that reflects the communities we serve, we believe that fostering a unique and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to succeed will support our ongoing success. Wintrust Financial Corporation, including community banking and financial services subsidiaries, is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, genetic information, and other legally protected categories.
