This Senior CNC Programmer position serves as a critical technical leadership role within the aerospace and gas turbine manufacturing sector. Based in Newnan, GA, the position is designed for an independent professional who will drive process optimization and ensure the highest standards of precision in multi-axis machining environments.
The role focuses on transforming complex CAD models and engineering drawings into efficient, high-accuracy CNC programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis machines, lathes, EDM, and mill/turn equipment. Beyond programming, the incumbent will act as a mentor to junior staff, collaborating closely with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot machining issues, refine tooling strategies, and implement continuous improvements in cycle time and tool life.
You will operate within a precision aerospace manufacturing setup, functioning with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining strong collaborative ties with cross-functional teams. The work demands a rigorous focus on efficiency, accuracy, and the ability to navigate the unique challenges of machining aerospace materials such as titanium, nickel, and superalloys.

Experience with FANUC or Siemens controls, macro programming, and probing. Knowledge of aerospace materials (Titanium, Nickel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum). Familiarity with CMM and metrology tools. Experience in gas turbine manufacturing and airfoil manufacturing. Understanding of FAA PMA / RS-DER compliance. Industry certifications in CNC programming.
