This position is dedicated to developing, simulating, and optimizing complex toolpaths using advanced CAD/CAM software to manufacture high-precision, complex-geometry parts. The role serves as a critical bridge between engineering design and physical production, ensuring that every program meets rigorous standards for accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
You will be responsible for generating 5-axis CNC code that reduces cycle times while enhancing part quality. Beyond programming, the role involves creating detailed setup sheets, selecting appropriate tooling, and designing fixtures. A significant portion of the day is spent verifying programs via simulation tools like Vericut to catch potential issues before they reach the machine floor. You will also troubleshoot machining issues, perform first article inspections, and adjust programs as needed to maintain optimal performance.
Collaboration is key in this position. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure full compliance with safety standards and, where applicable, AS9100 quality standards. This role requires a strong analytical mindset to handle complex geometries and solve challenging machining problems in real-time.
