This is a contract position (4–6 months) with the potential for extension and conversion to Full-Time Employment. As a Senior CNC Programmer, you will serve as a technical leader within the Aerospace and Industrial gas turbine sector, driving process and product development for New Product Introduction (NPI), Repair, and OEM businesses.
You will lead moderate-scope project teams to produce new designs, repairs, and optimized processes. Your work will directly impact business metrics by utilizing Lean tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency. The role requires a blend of office-based strategic planning and hands-on shop floor execution, where you will troubleshoot machining discrepancies, validate first-article prototypes, and ensure the accuracy of programs across 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers.
Beyond technical execution, you will act as a mentor, training less experienced staff and collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across Chromalloy sites to establish best practices. You will be expected to navigate a matrix organizational structure, managing priorities with limited supervision while collaborating with cross-functional peers to meet yearly goals.
We foster a Continuous Improvement Culture where ownership and initiative are paramount. In this role, you are expected to consistently demonstrate our core values, taking the initiative to set goals and drive high-impact priorities. We encourage a collaborative environment where you can receive and give feedback to improve both personal and team performance.
You will be expected to understand the broader business impact of your projects and decisions, seeking guidance from experts when necessary. Success in this role requires balancing operational and functional priorities while building mutual trust with supervisors and peers. You will play a key part in understanding and advancing the company's overall vision, routinely asking how your work aligns with the future direction of the business, site, and function.
