As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you play a vital role in supporting the pharmacist and ensuring the pharmacy department runs smoothly. Under direct supervision, you assist in the practice of pharmacy while adhering to all state, federal, and company policies. Your work is central to delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience, ensuring that patients and customers feel supported from the moment they walk through the door.
Your day involves a blend of technical precision and interpersonal connection. You will utilize pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and handle cash registers with accuracy. If you hold PTCB certification, you will also have the opportunity to coach other technicians and cashiers on system operations.
Beyond the counter, you will engage with customers by greeting them, offering assistance with products, and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction. You may assist with inventory management, including ordering and storing pharmaceuticals, and help maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked pharmacy environment. In some cases, you may support clinical services by collecting samples or assisting with coordination between the pharmacy, healthcare clinics, and external providers.

Prior work experience with Walgreens. Good math skills (counting, measuring and weighing medications). Basic level PC skills (for example: start up and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents and/or access information on-line). Knowledge of store inventory control.
