About the Role

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you play a vital role in the customer experience, serving as the bridge between patients and their healthcare needs. Your mission is to ensure a distinctive and delightful experience by engaging with customers and patients, offering assistance, and resolving issues with professionalism and care. You will model best practices in customer service, demonstrating key interpersonal habits like proactive help and courtesy to build strong relationships with our most valuable customers.

Within the pharmacy operations, you will work under the supervision of the pharmacist to assist in the practice of pharmacy in strict accordance with state, federal, and company policies. Your day-to-day involves utilizing pharmacy systems to accurately enter patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and verifying medications for safety and interactions. You will also manage inventory, process manual claims, and support the pharmacy team in maintaining a clean, orderly, and efficient environment. Additionally, you may assist in clinical services, such as collecting samples, and help foster relationships with the local medical community to enhance growth opportunities.

Training & Development

We are committed to your professional growth. You will maintain your PTCB or ExCPT certification through designated training programs and state requirements. The role includes attending manager-requested training, completing PPLs, and acquiring continuing education credits to stay current with the latest healthcare and pharmacy developments.
