As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you play a vital role in supporting the pharmacist and ensuring the pharmacy department runs smoothly. Day in the Life
Your day involves a blend of technical precision and interpersonal connection. You will utilize pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and handle cash registers with accuracy. Beyond the counter, you may assist with inventory management, including unpacking shipments and maintaining stock levels, and support clinical services by collecting samples or coordinating with healthcare providers.
Customer interaction is a key component of the role. You will greet patients, offer assistance with products and services, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience. You are expected to model best practices in customer service, such as proactive help and courteous engagement, while maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly pharmacy environment.

Requirements

- verifiedWillingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in specific locations)
Nice to Have
Prior work experience with Walgreens. Good math skills (counting, measuring and weighing medications). Basic level PC skills (for example: start up and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents and/or access information on-line). Knowledge of store inventory control.
