We operate two manufacturing plants and a distribution warehouse in Southern California. On April 1, 2016, American Fruits and Flavors was acquired by Monster Energy Company, significantly expanding our resources and capabilities.
About the Role
The Senior Beverage Scientist is a pivotal figure in our R&D team, responsible for analyzing, developing, and improving new and existing products using both existing and new raw materials. This role exists to drive innovation by matching products supplied by customers and internal personnel against competitor offerings, ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of the industry.
You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, originating and developing new products—including Juice Concentrates and Flavors—based on defined customer or in-house requirements with little to no direction. Your day-to-day involves directing the evaluation and testing of prototypes, creating master formulas, and preparing product specification sheets. Beyond technical development, you will provide technical assistance and on-site support to customers and brokers, particularly during first-time productions and troubleshooting scenarios. Additionally, you will mentor R&D Product Development Chemists and Lab Technicians, establishing guidelines for sample requests and collaborating with Quality Control and Production departments to ensure seamless new product launches.
