About the Role
The Senior Manager, R&D serves as a pivotal leader within the Research & Development department, driving the journey of product development from initial research through scale-up and commercialization. This role is designed to ensure strict adherence to cGMPs, SOPs, and FDA requirements while meeting the evolving expectations of our customers. You will provide both technical and managerial leadership, overseeing development priorities and managing complex projects that fuel the company's strategic growth and innovation initiatives.
In this position, you will build and execute integrated development plans, enhance department capabilities, and mentor a team of formulation scientists, chemists, and R&D associates. The role requires a dynamic partnership with Production, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, and Commercial teams to translate technical vision into market-ready solutions. Success in this role involves balancing deep technical expertise with the ability to navigate cross-functional landscapes, ensuring that product development aligns with business objectives and operational efficiency.
The position involves significant travel for customer visits and trade shows, both domestically and internationally, to support business growth and maintain strong industry connections. You will act as the technical subject matter expert, guiding the team through feasibility assessments, prototype development, and the critical technology transfer from R&D to production environments.
