About Plains

Plains is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing, and marketing solutions for crude oil. We own an extensive network of pipeline transportation, terminalling, storage, and gathering assets in key oil-producing basins and transportation corridors, as well as at major market hubs in the United States and Canada. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, we are committed to delivering the best results to our stakeholders while respecting our employees' need for personal and family time.

About the Role

The Senior Analyst, Government & Regulatory Affairs is a strategic role designed to sustain and enhance Plains' state and local government and regulatory affairs. This position exists to bridge the gap between complex policy landscapes and business priorities, ensuring the company navigates the regulatory environment with agility and foresight.

You will serve as a proactive problem-solver, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address issues in a strategic manner. The day-to-day involves coordinating with multiple disciplines to develop public affairs strategies, building relationships with local, state, and federal public officials, and engaging with trade associations and community groups. You will act as a key advisor to leadership by monitoring legislative and political issues, managing a portfolio of consultants across the U.S., and preparing briefing materials that drive decision-making. Success in this role requires a collaborative spirit, the ability to adapt engagement strategies to diverse audiences, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

Hiring Process

We thank all candidates for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. By submitting your resume, you consent to the collection, use, and necessary disclosure of the personal information provided during the application and selection process.

Culture & Equal Opportunity

At Plains, our employees are our most valuable asset. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to providing employment opportunities to all qualified individuals without regard to age, race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, genetic information, disability, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.

Applicants with disabilities can request accessible formats, communication supports, or other accessibility assistance by contacting WebCareers@Plains.com. We respect our employees' need for personal and family time, which is reflected in our top-tier benefits program designed to keep our employees safe, healthy, and happy.
