Centurum is seeking a Senior Acquisition Specialist to support the Navy Catapult and Commercialization Readiness Program (CRP) within the NAVWAR Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program Management Office. This role serves as a critical bridge between program data integrity and strategic acquisition planning, ensuring the Navy's innovation pipeline operates with precision and compliance.
In this position, you will manage the entry, validation, and configuration of program data across federal information systems, including the DON Program Management Database (PMDB), STAIRS, and Flankspeed Teams. Beyond data management, you will act as a key advisor on business and technology transition risks for SBIR Small Business Concerns, providing specialized analysis to inform government officials on mitigations and strategic decisions.
The role requires a deep understanding of the DoD and SECNAV 5000 series directives. You will draft essential program milestone documentation and support the development of complex acquisition artifacts, such as Acquisition Plans, Strategy Reports, and Program Baselines. Your work will directly contribute to the efficiency of the organization by designing procedures, conducting work simplification studies, and preparing operations manuals that assist management in navigating the complexities of defense acquisition.
You will be embedded within the NAVWAR SBIR Program Management Office, collaborating closely with Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). This team is dedicated to advancing science and technology processes, specifically supporting the US Navy's commercialization and transition efforts. Success in this role requires the ability to analyze program procedures, philosophies, and documentation to ensure alignment with mission requirements and regulatory specifications.

Over ten (10) years of experience performing work related to the description above, preferably supporting the US Navy. At least 6 years of experience in Defense acquisition, preferably Navy, including logistics, research and development, configuration management, or systems analysis/design. Demonstrated knowledge in system acquisition, acquisition documentation, configuration management, risk analysis, Government furnished equipment (GFE), or Government furnished information (GFI). At least six (6) years of experience related to manufacturing plans, configuration management, commercialization/transition, and audit preparations. Demonstrated knowledge in business planning, business development, or operational security review. At least six (6) years' experience in specialized and focused company management assessment recommendations. Demonstrated knowledge and relevant current experience (three (3) years within the last six (6) years) in Assertions, Intellectual Property, SBIR technical data rights, SBIR/STTR law/policy, Federal contract law/policy, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and export regulations with regard to technology and how they apply to SBIR.
