Join the Pima County Real Property Services Department, where we play a key role in shaping projects that serve the community. Our team is dedicated to the acquisition, sale, and management of property and real property rights on behalf of Pima County and its Special Taxing Districts. We work to support infrastructure and development projects that benefit and support the public, ensuring fair and reasonable outcomes for all parties involved.
As a Real Property Acquisition Agent II, you will negotiate directly with property owners, occupants, and other affected parties to facilitate the acquisition, sale, and management of real property. This role is vital for ensuring that County and District projects move forward smoothly while adhering to federal, state, and local laws. Your day-to-day work involves reviewing engineering plans and legal descriptions, preparing complex acquisition documents, and coordinating with title and escrow companies. You will also manage the relocation process for displaced persons and businesses, ensuring compliance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act. Whether conducting field inspections in varying weather conditions or analyzing property data in the office, your work directly impacts the community's growth and development.
The first review of applications will take place on 05/22/2026. Pima County Human Resources reserves the right to admit only those candidates who meet the minimum qualifications. All applications will be assessed based on listed education and experience, with further evaluation against preferred qualifications for those who qualify. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Additional assessments or testing may be required as part of the selection process.
To apply, you must clearly document your qualifying education and experience in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Do not substitute a resume for your application or write "see resume" on the form. A valid driver's license is required at the time of application, and a post-offer, pre-employment background screening (including work history, education, and criminal conviction history) is mandatory for all successful candidates.
