About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a renewable energy organization in Rockville, Maryland. In this onsite role, you will serve as a critical financial partner, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with complex international standards. You will act as the primary liaison between the finance function and cross-functional teams, including FP&A, Structured Finance, and Operations, to streamline reporting accuracy and drive strategic decision-making.

The Day-to-Day

Your work will center on maintaining rigorous financial controls and navigating the nuances of IFRS standards. You will manage the IFRS secondary ledger in Oracle NetSuite, preparing specialized journal entries and executing comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to technical accounting, where you will analyze and document the treatment of complex transactions such as long-term service contracts, leases, joint ventures, and project financing. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors, authoring technical accounting memos and ensuring robust internal control frameworks are maintained.
