Senior Accountant

About the Role

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and the month-end close process for a growing organization. This is a 6-month contract role based in Costa Mesa with a hybrid work schedule, offering the possibility of extension. The position is designed for a professional who can manage core accounting functions across multiple accounts and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting.

In this role, you will serve as a key partner in maintaining financial integrity. Your day-to-day will involve preparing and reviewing journal entries, managing account reconciliations, and investigating general ledger variances. You will play a critical part in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, assist with financial statements and audit support, and ensure proper coding of invoices. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently to manage deadlines are essential as you maintain documentation and support internal controls.
