As a Self-Directed Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will work to provide person-centered services that enrich the lives of individuals receiving support from Liberty Resources. This role focuses on maximizing a person's independence while promoting individual choice and maintaining a safe, healthy environment. You will play a vital part in creating an environment that encourages individuals to experience a full life.
Your day-to-day work involves assisting individuals in participating in daily and weekly activities, such as grocery shopping, exercising, pursuing personal interests and hobbies, and engaging in other desired activities. You will advocate for individuals to be fully integrated into community life, helping them build and strengthen skills necessary to develop and maintain friendships and personal relationships. Whether facilitating community events, assisting with household management, or supporting crisis intervention, your role is to empower individuals to lead self-determining lives.
To succeed in this position, you will need mobile internet access to electronically log daily service delivery times, mileage, and necessary documentation. You will also interact with the individual's Circle of Support, family, and coworkers to communicate needs, wants, and choices effectively.
