At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone. We believe everyone—of every race, gender, sexuality, age, location, and income—deserves the opportunity to live their healthiest life. Today, however, there are still far too many barriers to good health which are disproportionately experienced by people of color, historically marginalized groups, and those with lower incomes. We are committed to mitigating our impact on the environment and enabling and delivering equitable care that addresses health disparities and improves health outcomes.
The SOC Operator safeguards people, assets, and operations by monitoring, investigating, and coordinating responses to intrusion alarms, AI-based camera alerts, access control events, and live surveillance feeds within a 24/7 operational environment. This role requires continuous situational awareness and sound judgment under pressure to validate alerts and minimize false positives while coordinating timely responses per established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
You will operate effectively in a high-stakes Security Operations Center, maintaining a high level of alertness during extended monitoring periods. Your day will involve triaging critical events, dispatching on-site security or facilities teams, and collaborating with internal partners such as Corporate Security, Facilities, IT, and Executive Protection. You will serve as a critical link in our security ecosystem, ensuring that sensitive information is handled with discretion and that all incidents are documented with precision to support audits and continuous improvement.
