The Branch Physical Security Architect is a senior leadership position designed to define the strategic direction of physical security technologies across a vast banking and retail branch network. This is not a hands-on keyboard design or deployment role; rather, it serves as the principal technical authority for the engagement. You will act as the single authoritative voice on branch physical security architecture, guiding engineering teams, integrators, and vendors toward consistent, compliant, and resilient security outcomes.
In this capacity, you will provide strategic oversight for new branch builds, renovations, technology refreshes, and large-scale security programs. Your mission is to ensure that all security initiatives align with enterprise security architecture and regulatory requirements while balancing security needs, user experience, and cost-effectiveness across the network.
As the primary liaison to the client's C-Suite, you will maintain a daily and weekly cadence of technical briefings and status updates. You will lead the Physical Security workstream within large-scale programs in close partnership with the PMO, defining project scope and managing risks to ensure security deliverables align with overall timelines.
Your day involves chairing design review boards, reviewing architecture diagrams and bills of materials, and providing senior-level support during critical incidents. You will coordinate across IT infrastructure, Facilities, Construction, and Security Operations to deliver cohesive solutions, ensuring that design principles and technology standards are applied bank-wide. You will also drive the evaluation and standardization of security technologies, managing relationships with external integrators to enforce solution consistency.
Candidates must be available to begin within 7 days of an offer. This is an immediate-start, full-time remote contract role requiring 40 hours per week during EST hours. The initial engagement is for 6+ months, with the possibility of extension to 1–2 years.
We seek a collaborative leader with executive presence who can build consensus across technical teams and external partners. The ideal candidate operates effectively with minimal oversight in a remote environment, demonstrating the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure while guiding teams through critical incidents without losing strategic focus.
