Kamehameha Schools Maui is seeking a motivated and committed Security Officer to join our campus ʻohana. This role prioritizes the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community, contributing actively to a secure and supportive campus environment.
As a Security Officer, you will provide essential security services for students, faculty, staff, visitors, and facilities. Your day will involve monitoring CCTV cameras, conducting vehicle and foot patrols, and enforcing traffic and parking regulations. You will be responsible for investigating and recording incidents, managing crowd supervision, and controlling access to campus properties, including sacred sites.
Ideal candidates are observant, proactive, and able to think on their feet. You will use strong judgment to respond to evolving situations, manage large crowds calmly, and apply effective de-escalation skills to resolve conflicts safely. Building and maintaining positive relationships with staff, faculty, students, families, and community members is central to your success in this role.
Note: This is a Temporary, On-Call Position.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a security, police, or emergency response role. Security experience within a K-12 school environment. Knowledge of security-related software and applications customarily used in the field. Specialized training in Crisis Intervention, drone operation, defensive tactics, or similar programs. Experience in dispatching, radio communication, and CCTV monitoring.
