Community Hospice and Palliative Care is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care. We foster a supportive work environment designed to help our team members grow their professional careers while serving our community.
As a Security Officer, you will be the guardian of our safe and secure campus environment, ensuring the well-being of our patients, visitors, vendors, and staff. This role is vital to maintaining the peace and safety required for our patients to receive care in a tranquil setting.
You will work a full-time schedule of four days a week, with a primary focus on the Sunbeam Road location in Jacksonville, FL. Your shifts will include Saturdays and Sundays from Noon to Midnight, along with two additional 8-hour weekday shifts at our Hadlow, McGraw, or Chapman Center locations as needed. Beyond standard patrols, your day-to-day involves escorting visitors and staff, documenting incidents, conducting fire observation drills, and performing safety and maintenance checks to ensure our facilities remain safe and functional.
Interested candidates should apply directly through our career channels. We look for individuals with a high school diploma or G.E.D. and a minimum of two years of security experience. While a Florida Class D Unarmed Security Guard Property License is preferred, we consider any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills for successful performance.
