About the Role
This full-time Armed Security position is based in Huron, South Dakota, with operations also covering Billings, Montana. The role requires working 36 to 40 hours per week across various shifts. As a Security Guard, you will be the frontline defense for our facilities, responsible for operating security equipment, active barriers, intrusion detection systems, physical access control systems, and closed-circuit television (CCTV).
A significant portion of your day will involve enforcing facility access control policies. You will process visitors by verifying identification, contacting agency sponsors or escorts, issuing passes, and maintaining accurate data in visitor logs or automated databases. Additionally, you will ensure all visitors and packages undergo appropriate personal and package screening to maintain a secure environment.
Hiring Process & Requirements
Many positions at Kerberos International require a Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one as a condition of employment. Candidates must meet at least one of the following criteria: two years of security experience, three years of U.S. Armed Forces, National Guard, or Reserve service (active, retired, or honorably discharged), or graduation from a police officer's basic training academy.
Successful candidates must also be able to pass a firearms qualification (9mm or .40 cal, M-4 type carbine, 12-gauge shotgun) as well as a physical and drug screen.
