This position serves as a vital administrative hub within the school, providing essential clerical and secretarial support to the Assistant Principal and assigned personnel. The role is designed to ensure the smooth operation of school functions by managing communication, maintaining accurate records, and upholding compliance with financial, legal, and administrative requirements.
In this capacity, you will be the first point of contact for students, parents, teachers, and the general public. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of tasks, from managing complex scheduling data and composing official correspondence to directing attendance and discipline referrals. You will play a key role in facilitating critical meetings, such as CIT and 504 sessions, and assisting with major school events like registration, open houses, and commencements.
The work environment is typically based in the main school office or administrative area. You will regularly interact with the principal, faculty, and district office while managing frequent interruptions and multitasking in a fast-paced setting. Success in this role requires the ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive situations with professionalism, and organize a workload that often includes urgent administrative tasks and disciplinary matters.
