This position serves as a vital support pillar for the school counseling department at Gallup Middle School. The primary mission is to ensure the accurate maintenance and supervision of student records for both current and former students. By upholding strict confidentiality and adhering to district policies, local laws, and federal privacy regulations, the role facilitates smooth communication between the school, students, families, and external agencies.
The day-to-day rhythm involves managing the lifecycle of student transcripts, from creation and verification to distribution. You will act as a key liaison, handling inquiries from colleges, the Armed Forces, and prospective employers while ensuring that grade sheets and report cards are processed efficiently each grading period. The role also requires close collaboration with the counseling secretary to provide comprehensive clerical support, ensuring that the counseling office operates seamlessly.
Applicants must attach a copy of their High School Diploma or equivalency certificate. Additionally, copies of all college transcripts are required to verify hours. Applications should be submitted by the closing date of May 28, 2026, for the SY2026-2027 school year.
